Meet Heather Baker

"I love to create colorful pieces with exquisite glass!"

Heather Baker first learned stained glass in Bellingham, Washington in 1985. What started as a class turned into a passion. Heather's first workroom was in the laundry closet at her first apartment in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has been doing stained glass ever since. Along the way she has taught dozens of people how to work with glass and created hundreds of pieces.

Broken China Pieces are another speciality Heather has. "Reclaim a broken plate in your grandmother's china collection - have a stained glass piece created around it. I will create a stained glass piece that matches the plate design. See my Reclaimed Broken China Gallery to get an idea of what I can do."
You will notice when you look at her stained glass galleries that she loves animals. "I grew up with a love for animals that I gained from my parents. I was happy to pick up snakes, frogs and lizards in addition to loving dogs, cats and rabbits. I do a lot of animals in glass."

"If you have ever thought you wanted to learn stained glass, just sign up for one of my stained glass classes. If you would like to pick up a hobby, glass is a good one."
